The SkateParklet is a community space largely inspired by transition or "vert" skateboarding. It features two round bowl shapes seeking to emphasize community use. Whether alone or in a larger group people are encouraged to gather on the multi-tiered seating to relax, have a break and chat.

Through the development of this project aspects of materiality, safety and ease of use were considered to create something that was both an homage to skateboarding culture while also not being directly used as vert ramps for the security and use of non-skateboarders.
